News: Morocco will never give up on the palestinian cause

Morocco World News Website says on the uncoditional support for the palestinians:

Morocco, which has recently sent emergency humanitarian aid to the Palestinians, on Instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, has consistently supported the rights of the Palestinian people and strived for a two-state solution.

Morocco has not and will never give up on the Palestinian cause given the Kingdom's historic role in promoting peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Kingdom has always clearly affirmed its adherence to the unity of the Palestinian people and to the two-state solution, through the 'establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Morocco has always opened its doors to the Palestinians, and has never ceased to show its support for the Palestinian cause. In the same vein, the Moroccan political elite has expressed, in all circumstances, its unconditional support for the Palestinians.

Concretely, Morocco reaffirms, through the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, its immense moral and material support to the Palestinian people and its action in favor of the peace process and the rejection of extremist and hate speech.

HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, has given His Very High Instructions for the dispatch of emergency humanitarian aid for the benefit of the Palestinian population in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, this humanitarian aid, is made up of 40 tons of goods, made up of basic food products, emergency medicines and blankets.

The recent ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians will not make peace. If the truce that came into effect last Friday actually ends the war between Israel and Hamas that began on May 10, it will not make it possible to end regular cycles of violence. This new escalation has brought the Israeli-Palestinian issue back to the fore.

It is an air of déjà vu that is felt upon the announcement of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, at the end of ten days of a conflict which has left at least 243 Palestinian dead and 12 on the Israeli side.

Israel should support a sovereign state for the Palestinians that includes Hamas, lift the blockade of Gaza and end restrictions on movement in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Reasonable agreements should be made regarding borders, end of Jewish settlements and the return of Palestinian refugees.

Today, in addition to the conflict with the Gaza Strip, there is a kind of silent war in the West Bank with the continued construction of Jewish settlements, which in fact has reduced the Palestinian territory in these autonomous zones.

Despite a deleterious security situation and the continuation of colonization activities, the two-state solution is the only solution that can allow Palestinians and Israelis to live in peace and security.  The commitment to the two-state solution finds strong support around the world.

Both the Palestinian Authority, which rules the West Bank, and the Hamas group, in Gaza, claim the eastern part of Jerusalem as their capital, even though Israel occupied it in 1967. A definitive pact will never be possible without resolving this point. Other points could be negotiated with concessions, but not Jerusalem.
